Mortage rate update from Mark Robertson with First Capital

Do You Have a Second Mortgage and Equity? Prime Just Went up to 7.25%

Alan Greenspan decided to raise rates just one more time at his last meeting as “Chief of the Federal Reserve.” What does this mean for you? Well if you have a second mortgage, it probably means your payments just went up again. In December of 2003 the Prime Rate was a low 4%, making Home Equity Lines of Credit very attractive, since these loans are tied to the Prime Rate. Historical Rancho Santa Fe covenant home statistics

I was recently reading through some Rancho Santa Fe Covenant statistical comparison reports published by “California Title” and I thought I would share them with everyone. If you would like to see statistics on any other community please let me know!
- In 1999 the Rancho Santa Fe Covenant had a total sales volume of $337,155,800 with an average home price of $2,107,223 and an average price per square foot of $427
- In the year 2000 the Rancho Santa Fe Covenant had a total sales volume of $340,243,000 with an average home price of $2,539,127 and an average price per square foot of $494

- In the year 2002 the Rancho Santa Fe Covenant had a total sales volume of $267,864,500 with an average home price of $2,349,689 and an average price per square foot of $534
- In the year 2003 the Rancho Santa Fe Covenant had a total sales volume of $220,213,000 with an average home price of $2,267,864,500 and an average price per square foot of $580
- In the year 2004 the Rancho Santa Fe Covenant had a total sales volume of $466,624,305 with an average home price of $3,152,867 and an average price per square foot of $640
- In the year 2005 the Rancho Santa Fe Covenant had a total sales volume of $381,136,500 with an average home price of $3,736,632 and an average price per square foot of $725
Summary: Based on these statistics it is easy to see that the Rancho Santa Fe Covenant has had consistent growth. From 1999 to 2005 the average sales price increased dramatically, from $2,107,223 to $3,736,632. The average price per square foot increased from $427/sq.ft. to $725 /sq.ft.

Rancho Santa Fe incorporation meeting (Feb. 23rd at the RSF Garden Club)

I just wanted to let everyone know that there will be a meeting tomorrow evening at 7:00pm at the Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club. The meeting will address the many questions that the residents of Rancho Santa Fe have about incorporation. Below is an article from the Rancho Santa Fe review that goes into more detail.

Incorporation meeting to be held Feb. 23

Hoping to answer community questions about incorporation, the RSF Association has scheduled a public meeting where Dick Chandler, chairman of the DOS (Division of Services) Committee, will make a presentation regarding the committee’s findings on Feb. 23.
Chandler will be presenting the incorporation study Feb. 23 at the RSF Garden Club. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. The format of the presentation is not one of debate, but rather one where residents can ask questions and clarify concerns.
The Association board was faced with a standing-room only crowd at the Feb. 2 meeting, filled mostly with Covenant residents opposed to incorporation.
